Allowing our sons to be the young men God made them to be, yet doing our best to train them in the ways they should go.

Splash Bash
Yesterday Braylen and Kaleb lived it up at day camp--paddle boating, crafts, obstacle course, swimming, water slide, hayrack ride, etc... I hung out all day and visited with a friend who also had kids at this camp. Besides being hot, we had a great time!
Today was the party for our school's summer reading program. B and K had to read so many books and take quizzes on them to qualify for this swimming party. How great to finally enjoy the fruits of their labor. Braylen went off the high dive for the first time today. Kaleb went off the low dive for the first time today. They both loved those diving boards! Aaron was brave enough at the pool this afternoon to walk up the waterslide steps all by himself and go down the slide while I waited in the pool! Tonight he and I explored the rock garden and by the time all 3 boys went to bed they were VERY worn out.
I'm trying to remember some funny things the kids have said or done lately, but I'm finding that hard to do in the summertime. When we were driving to church Sunday morning, Aaron said he was glad we were going to the pool. I have no idea how he thought of that--we were dressed for church, not swimming!
