Hanging Out

With most of our fun summer activities behind us, and a few more fun things ahead of us, we are literally just hanging around this week. I caught the boys finding their own way to have fun in these not-very-exciting-days.

Kaleb's been wanting to go bowling all summer, so we finally found the time to do that with Daddy on Tuesday evening. We had fun, although at the risk of our very lives! Braylen has yet to learn that the bowling ball must go down the lane, not behind him towards the spectators! Kaleb loves to take a running start, come to a screeching halt at the line, and toss his ball in a zig-zag pattern down the lane. Thank heavens for gutter rails. Aaron uses the ramp and lets his ball roll smoothly down the lane. Ahhhhh. Derek and I had embarassingly low scores. My bowling-league brother would be ashamed. ;) But we all had fun, and Kaleb smiled the whole time.

A few funnies and then I will close for today. Yesterday at Walmart while I studied different types of razor blades, Kaleb came to me and said he got something for me. I said, "okay" without looking, not really paying attention to him. He kept saying it over and over, and when I finally looked at him, he was holding up high the hugest box of maxi pads I'd ever seen. I ignored all questions from the boys about what those are and what those are for--that is for another day. While helping Aaron with his pajamas last night, I must have leaned forward a bit too much, because Aaron pointed to my chest and said, "What's that? A buttcrack?" Ha!

oh my goodness having boys is different. I was thinking today that in a couple years I won't get to parade around in my undies after a shower. With the girls who cares, but with a boy that would be weird. The girls talk about my boobs all the time, how someday they will have them too. Not sure how our poor little boy will fit into this estrogen filled house. ha ha
