We Made It

We made it through--
Our last time ever having a kindergartner in our home. The 5th grade finale, filled with awards and recognitions. The last day of school, filled with joy and fear and an extra-special assembly. My kids are officially on summer break. They're all mine for 3 months.

We went from this baby:

to this kindergartner:

to this 5th grade graduate:

I know our time at home together will become our new normal for the summer. Middle school will be good and right for Braylen. But right now...I'm jumbled. I can't think of a better word. Change is hard for me, you know.

They walked into school together one last time today. Derek surprised us by meeting us at the school during drop-off time. It did my heart good. :) A chilly rainy day in May seems like a weird way to start summer vacation. But here we are...starting our summer vacation.

"How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!" ~Psalm 133:1

This is my new life verse. :) It's also my prayer for our summer, no matter how rainy it is at the beginning.
