Crawdad Friends

Braylen's entitled my blog entry for today. He became the proud owner of 2 crawdads from school and wanted to show them off to you. :) My rule is that they be kept in the garage! Braylen's actually learned lots about crawdads, and is quite good at telling me all about them. To make his aunt happy, he named them once they were all moved into their new homes. :) The smaller one is Junior, and the bigger one is L.T. Daddy thought L.T. stood for lieutenant. (good guess Derek!) Grandpa knew right away that L.T. stands for LaDainian Tomlinson, a football player for the San Diego Chargers. Way to go Grandpa! Crawdads eat cat food, or so we're told. So last night after having coffee with friends, I ran to the store for cat food at 10:15! The cashier said that my kitties must be hungry! Little did she know I was buying crawdad food. We don't do cats around here. :)

Braylen thumbs up with Junior

L.T.

Kaleb lost a tooth the other night during supper. He was eating bread (squishy bread of all things!) and he frantically "talked" without opening his lips. Only his mother could understand what he was saying: "My tooth, my tooth!" over and over. I held up my hand and caught the prize. Speaking of prizes, the next morning when he found a big grape laffy taffy and quarters under his pillow, he said, "Oh man, I was hoping the tooth fairy would give me a hunting backpack." He's talking about a camoflauge camelbak water pack. They're not cheap, and he wants the tooth fairy to bring him one! Ha ha ha! At least I have a birthday idea now. :)
2 Little Indians

At bedtime last night, Aaron told me he wants to see real pictures of real dinosaurs. I tried to explain there were no cameras back then, so there are no pictures of dinosaurs. Only drawings and models, etc. Then he said, "Mommy, were you a little kid when the dinosaurs were here?" Wow, I'm as old as dinosaurs now! :)
